September is full of big releases, but PS5 owners are likely looking forward to September 6th when Team Asobi’s Astro Bot launches. As for when you can look forward to reviews, they’ll go live on September 5th, 5 AM PDT. Initially reported by Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson on Twitter, it’s been corroborated by VGC’s Jordan Middler with an image of the start screen.

Astro Bot is the third title in the franchise, following Astro Bot: Rescue Mission and Astro’s Playroom. It sees Astro on another 3D platforming journey, rescuing over 300 Bots (about 150 from iconic franchises), learning new abilities, and exploring over 50 planets. Though much larger in scale than Playroom, director Nicolas Doucet confirmed a playtime of about 12 to 15 hours.

Of course, there’s also post-launch content to look forward to, including “playful” stages and speed run levels. These will be added to the game by year-end for free. Stay tuned for more details, and check out our feature for everything you should know about Astro Bot.
