Game Overview:
Borderlands 4 is a first-person looter shooter RPG developed by Gearbox Entertainment and published by 2K.
Players will once again play as a Vault Hunter, with the game being set on a brand-new planet.
Creative director Graeme Timmins also discusses catering to different character fantasies and retaining depth without too much complexity.
Gearbox and 2K's first-person looter shooter is set to launch sometime in 2025 for PC and current-gen consoles, it was recently announced.
The next entry in 2K and Gearbox's looter shooter series will see players stepping into the shoes of Vault Hunters on a new planet once again.
"We're working extra hard four you on what's next..." said Gearbox's Randy Pitchford after discussing the recently released film.

The leaker who previously claimed Borderlands 4 will be announced at the event is no longer sure that will be the case, while Civilization 7 was recently spotted on 2K's official website.
2K has previously confirmed that it will unveil the next instalment in one if its "biggest and most beloved" franchises at the event.

Both sequels have made good progress, though the mood at Gearbox is uncertain following layoffs, hiring freezes and whatnot.
Both titles – currently unannounced – have been mentioned on a former Gearbox Entertainment employee's LinkedIn page.
