Call of Duty Ghosts New Details: 60 Frames Per Second, Dynamic Multiplayer Maps

New engine to support tessellation and high resolution textures.

Activision has announced that the next game in the Call of Duty franchise, namely Call of Duty: Ghosts will be coming to the Xbox One. But you already know that.

However, developer Infinty Ward also revealed hereto unknown details to the game. For instance, the game centers around an America of the future, which has been laid to waste, as a team of US soldiers fights a new superpower. Stephen Gaghan of Traffic and Syriana is apparently penning the story.

Infinity Ward also revealed that the next gen engine powering ghosts will have far more improved animations, and include a new mantling system that allows for sliding and leaning while still maintaining 60 frames per second. The new engine will also reportedly support HD textures, detailed shadows and tessellation.

Multiplayer will be more dynamic this time around as apparently environmental disasters and other factors will affect matches in real-time.

The Xbox One, like previous consoles, will have timed exclusivity to Call of Duty: Ghosts’ DLC. Check out a behind the scenes preview video for Ghosts above.
