It was earlier this year that Sony and Guerilla Games released Horizon Zero Dawn for the PC. It was one of what has became a handful of first party Sony titles to make its way to the platform, and seems to have been quite the success. While it’s an exciting prospect and hopefully one that sees more games make that jump, that initial launch for the PC version was rather rough from a technical level with lots of glitches and poor optimization. Guerilla Games has worked hard to smooth out things, however with a lot of updates, and we have more today.

Update 1.07 is now live for those with the PC version. It adds several fixes with the main one targeting Anisotropic Filtering, which is said to now work correctly as well as changes to how shaders are optimized, including axing the mandatory optimization setup. It’s a relatively small update compared to some of the others, but slowly we’re getting a solid port out of this thing. You can read the full notes below, or through here.

Horizon Zero Dawn is available now for PlayStation 4 and PC. Update 1.07 is live now for the PC version. The sequel, Forbidden West, is set to release in 2021 for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
