High praise.

Horizon: Zero Dawn looks ridiculously good- far better than you would expect of a Guerrilla game. And Sony apparently share my excitement on how Horizon is coming along, at least if insider rumors on the game’s development progress are to be believed.

Posting on NeoGAF, well known industry insider Shinobi mentioned in a discussion on Horizon and the push it is getting from Sony that the internal response to the game has been very positive- so much so, that senior PlayStation executives are apparently regarding Horizon: Zero Dawn as the best thing to have come out of PlayStation’s first party. Considering this first party gave us Uncharted 2 and The Last of Us, that truly is saying something.

He also said that the game will probably have gone gold by the end of next week, indicating that it is done with development, and that there should be no more delays at this point. I sure hope he is right- while you should always take rumors, even ones that come from a reputable source like shinobi, with a grain of salt, I am getting super excited. If Sony play it right, Horizon could become their own Zelda.
