Horizon: Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds Has Better Facial Animations

That would be much appreciated.

Horizon: Zero Dawn told a very good story, and it told it well, but sometimes, the quality of its facial animations during conversations (or the lack thereof) could be… jarring, and entirely break the immersion the game was otherwise so good at building up.

Thankfully, it seems like this is one area where the upcoming Frozen Wilds expansion will improve upon the original game by a bit. Speaking to IGN, Guerrilla Games confirmed that facial animations during conversations will be far better than they were in the original games, thanks to better motion capture. The original game largely did well on this front- but as I said above, there were some times when it faltered in this area, often to hilarious effect.

Horizon: Zero Dawn is available exclusively on the PS4. Its upcoming expansion, The Frozen Wilds, launches on the day the Xbox One X launches, November 7, also only on the PS4
