Monster Hunter Stories Gets New Gameplay Trailer On The Eve Of Its Launch

The last Nintendo Monster Hunter release for a very long time, perhaps.

Monster Hunter Stories, the gorgeous JRPG based on the Monster Hunter series, is releasing on the Nintendo 3DS tomorrow- and on the eve of its launch, Nintendo has released a brand new trailer for the game, to show us more of what we might be able to expect from it.

Monster Hunter Stories is a complete departure from the mainline series- it is not a loot action RPG, instead taking the guise of a more traditional JRPG. The gameplay and structure, as such, is entirely different, too. The trailer below gives us an overview of that gameplay, in the process also giving us a lot of footage for the game as well.

Monster Hunter Stories launched exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS in Japan last year, and will be available only on 3DS in North America and Europe tomorrow; with Monster Hunter World coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC next year, and Monster Hunter XX on Switch not being localized, this might be the last Monster Hunter game Nintendo fans get for a very long time.
