The much anticipated expansion to Monster Hunter World came out last month, and it proved that the game wasn’t just a one hit wonder. It’s already sold nearly 3 million copies, helping to solidify the franchise as Capcom’s biggest. It also received a rather perfect crossover early in its life with Horizon: Zero Dawn, another game about taking on impossibly big monsters. Well, it’s happening again, and it’s coming here in November.
The crossover is again fitting since Horizon saw it’s own icy expansion with The Frozen Wilds. In a press release Capcom revealed that the new collaboration would come near the end of the month and would let those MR24 or above have a chance to craft a Light Bowgun based on Aloy’s Stormslinger Prototype as well as receive a pendant designed as Aloy’s Focus to attach to a weapon. As expected this quest will be exclusive to the PS4 version of the game, and you will need to own both the base World title and the Iceborne expansion.
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is available now, and the crossover quest will go live on November 21st.
