Pocketpair’s Palworld has a lot of different resources to manage, from eggs, wool, leather, ore, and coal to sulphur, wood, stone, Palidium fragments, and more. However, it also has Gold Coins as the mode of currency.

It may not seem all that exciting, but you can purchase various goods from Wandering Merchants found in the Small Settlement near the Rain Syndicate Tower and in Duneshelter. These include blueprints for gear, including new clothing items; Pals that you may not own or want to pick up duplicates to throw in the Pal Essence Condenser to strengthen certain types; and even consumables like milk when you need to make some cake in a jiffy.

Fortunately, there are numerous ways to earn Gold Coins in Palworld. Let’s go over the main methods here.

How to Farm Gold Coins

Assault Faction Members

Throughout the archipelago are camps set up by factions like the Rain Syndicate and Free Pal Alliance. They consist of human enemies armed with guns, crossbows and whatnot. If you can take them down, they have a chance to drop Gold Coins in the hundreds. Faction members also wander the world, fighting wild Pals, so use that as an opportunity to assail them.

Dungeons

Aside from the Evergaol-looking dungeons that house only Alpha Pals, there are regular dungeons littered through the archipelago. You’ll often find faction members in them who can be farmed for Gold Coins. When entering the location, eliminate those in a particular room and venture one or two rooms down. Go back, and the faction members will have respawned, allowing you to kill them again (or capture them for your use) and gain Gold Coins. It’s also great for getting Coarse Ammo for your Makeshift Handgun and Palspheres.

Sell Pals (and Humans)

If you’ve already gained the XP capture bonus and fully maxed out a Pal type using the Condenser, try selling excess Pals for Gold Coins to the Wandering Merchants. However, in keeping with how messed up Palworld can be, you can also capture and sell humans.

To the slight West of the Desolate Church (itself West of Rain Syndicate Tower) is an open area – look for a mine entrance to find the Black Marketeer. He’ll sell Rare Pals but also accepts captured humans, who net a hefty amount (sometimes even more than Pals). It’s awful and may get you in trouble, yet it’s hard to deny the Gold Coins earned.

Sell Materials

If you’re keen on setting up a second base, you could have its Pals dedicated to gathering and mining resources purely meant for selling. While you could do the same using excess resources from the first base, later technologies will require every bit. It’s good to keep one source dedicated to your upgrades and the other for profit. Take note whenever you find rare items like Rubies – these can also be sold to Merchants for a nice amount of Gold Coins.

Raids

Along with wild Pals assaulting your base, Syndicate and Free Pal Alliance members can conduct raids. Eliminating them nets Gold Coins, and even if you don’t have mounted gunners, all of your Pals will be enough to take them down. Depending on the location of your base, it’s also easy to get a flying Pal like Vanwyrm and pelt enemies from above with projectiles before they even make it to the base.

Loot Chests

Loot chests are plentiful in the world and will offer a consistent source of income. You may need some keys to open them, but those are also found easily enough in dungeons and whatnot. Purple and gold aura chests usually offer hundreds of Gold Coins, and they can drop high-tier Palspheres and other goods.
