The Pokemon Company has announced that the next Pokemon Presents livestream will be coming next week. In celebration of Pokemon Day – the yearly celebration of Pokemon’s anniversary – the company will livestream a roughly 20-minute long presentation that will unveil “exciting Pokemon news”.
There’s no word on what that news will entail, as you might expect, but one would assume that The Pokemon Company and Nintendo will soon be gearing up to announce Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s post-launch expansions.
Recently, Nintendo also announced the introduction of Game Boy and Game Boy Advance libraries to Nintendo Switch Online, though mainline Pokemon games were notably missing from the catalogues of new additions. Fans will be hoping that some of the older Pokemon titles get announced for the service at the event.
Given the fact that Nintendo and The Pokemon Company released two new mainline Pokemon games last year with Pokemon Legends: Arceus and the aforementioned Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, it would be safe to assume that no new major instalments will be announced- though new spinoff announcements could still happen, of course.
We’ll be keeping an eye out for new details on what the presentation will unveil, so stay tuned for more updates.
