Microsoft’s expanded multiplatform efforts are set to continue later this month with the release of Sea of Thieves on PS5, and ahead of the port’s release, Rare has published an official FAQ, where a handful of new details and tidbits have been revealed.

For starters, the developer has confirmed that Sea of Thieves will be playable via PlayStation Portal, Sony’s remote play handheld. “We’ve tested this and are pleased to confirm Sea of Thieves will be playable via the PlayStation Portal,” the developer writes.

That said, the multiplayer pirate game doesn’t have any plans of adding support for another major PlayStation accessory, namely PS VR2. In the FAQ, Rare says it has “no current plans” to add PS VR2 support to Sea of Thieves. Given the lack of success the virtual reality headset has seen, that probably doesn’t come as too much of a shock- especially since Sea of Thieves has been on PC for years, but has shown no signs of wanting to add VR support.

Rare has also revealed that with Sea of Thieves’ PS5 release set to introduce a larger player base, it’s considering bringing back six-ship servers. Read more on that through here.

Sea of Thieves launches for PS5 on April 30, with a closed beta going live on April 12. It’s currently available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
