The first major single player Star Wars game to come in a long, long time is about a month away in the form of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The game has gone gold, and it won’t be too long before we’ll get our hands on it. The game will also be a mix of both new and familiar locations.

In an interview with VG24/7, Narrative Lead Aaron Contreras and Lead Level Designer Jeff Magers chatted about various aspects of the game, and when asked why they chose the locations they did with the wide access to the lore they had, they said the team wanted to collaborate together with both new and old locations to try and carve out their own thing that will fit into what you know about Star Wars.

“Building these planets is a super collaborative effort across the whole team, from concept art to narrative, to level design to enemy design. We really wanted to take both planets that you’ve seen in other media, in other Star Wars properties, and also kind of carve out our own planets as well. They both come with unique challenges and strengths.

“Working on a planet that exists before, it needs to feel authentic to what has happened before on that planet, and people have a certain sort of idea of mind. Whereas on the brand new planets, it’s about doing something totally new but making it feel authentic still within the universe. That was a fun balancing act, doing kind of both of those.”

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will release November 15th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. For 15 things you need to know about the game, take a look through here.
