Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Won’t Let You Go Over to the Dark Side

Respawn are creating it strictly as a "Jedi story".

Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order

We finally got our first good look at Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order earlier today with a full-fledged gameplay demonstration, showing everything from Force powers and lightsaber combat to memorable Star Wars locations like Kashyyyk and more. During the EA Play event, after the demonstration was done, Respawn Entertainment CEO Vince Zampella and game director Stig Asmussen remained on-screen to speak about the game a bit more, and ended up revealing more interesting details.

One thing of note that came up was whether Fallen Order would allow players to choose between the dark side and the light side of the Force, as several Star Wars games have done in the past, from Force Unleashed to Knights of the Old Republic to what have you. Fallen Order, however, won’t be one such game, as per Respawn. The developers view this strictly as “a Jedi story”, and Cal, the protagonist, “has to fill a certain role.” Take a look a the snippet from the interview below (the video’s timestamped, so just hit play).

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is out on November 15 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. We’ll be hearing and seeing more of the action adventure title very soon- the game’s in line for an appearance at the Microsoft show as well. Stay tuned.
