Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Guide – How Long To Beat And How Many Chapters Are There?

With tons of things to do, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a rather meaty experience.

Our hero Cal Kestis returns in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, almost four years since his last adventure in Fallen Order. The story itself is set half a decade after the events of the preceding game and will chronicle Cal’s further development as a Jedi. While not quite open world, it isn’t a tight linear gameplay experience either.

This will expectedly make the playtime quite long, though the main quest itself will likely only contribute a little over half to the game’s length, with the remainder devoted towards the numerous activities.

How Long To Beat Star Wars Jedi: Survivor?

Because of the nature of such freedom in progression, playtime can be very subjective, but a linear story run is expected to take up to 20 hours.

The extensive activities will easily double that to 40 hours, and it will not be padded with backtracking and travel time either, given the availability of fast travel using previously unlocked Meditation Points on the map.

Completionist runs for achievement and trophy hunting will easily add another 15-20 hours on top of that, depending on how familiar you get with the map.

How Many Main Missions Are There In Star Wars Jedi: Survivor?

The missions in the main questline in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor are dubbed Chapters, of which there are six, each with a varying number of sub-chapters, for a total of 23 parts. These are listed below:

Chapter 1

  • The Heist
  • The Escape
  • Alone

Chapter 2

  • Pyloon’s Saloon
  • The Key to Tanalorr
  • Fallen Jedi

Chapter 3

  • A New Home
  • The Nightsister
  • Reunion
  • On the Trail

Chapter 4

  • The Hidden Path
  • Abyss Compass
  • The Lucrehulk
  • Freeing Zee

Chapter 5

  • Rayvis Defeated
  • Compass Acquired
  • Betrayal
  • Siege

Chapter 6

  • Kata Akuna
  • Wrath
  • The Arrays
  • The Abyss
  • A New Path

How Long To 100% Star Wars Jedi: Survivor?

Besides the 23 Chapters, there are also fifteen Collectible groups, which includes the following:

  1. BD-1 Scans
  2. Chests
  3. Cosmetics
  4. Datadiscs
  5. Fish
  6. Force Echoes
  7. Force Essences
  8. Health Essences
  9. Perk Slots
  10. Perks
  11. Priorite Shards
  12. Seeds
  13. Skill Points
  14. Stim Upgrades

Some of these are unlocked upon the recruitment of new members to the Cantina. A step-by-step focus on each group should allow you to achieve a 100% completion, beyond even the easier baseline requirements of achievements and trophies, within just over 60 hours total playtime.

Is There A New Game Plus?

Yes, there absolutely is, and right at launch this time as well. Dubbed “New Journey +” on the updated title screen, post-completion of the story the first time, the mode will offer three all new Perks (Purity, Warrior, Trendsetter) and two new Lightsaber colors (Red and Party Rainbow).

Previously earned Skills will be reset but you will be able to respec again almost immediately because the Skill Points are refunded. Lightsaber Stances will also be made available again as soon as you make it to your first Meditation Point. Cosmetics and Collectibles will also not have to be sought out again. Abilities are the only thing that are reset, for balancing reasons.

And that is everything you need to know about finishing Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Find all those fish and fill up that aquarium if you can!
