When Star Wars Jedi: Survivor launched earlier this year, the action-adventure sequel was praised widely by critics and audiences for everything from its storytelling and characters to its combat and exploration. On the technical side of things, however, the game was on the receiving end of some criticism, with its performance on consoles being one of several areas that weren’t up to scratch. Developer Respawn Entertainment has, of course, continued to release patches for the game in the wake of its launch to address many of those issues, and the newest patch, patch 7, targets performance on consoles above all else.

First and foremost, with its newest patch, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has “completely reworked” its 60 FPS Performance Mode on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Among other things, that entails a new option to disable ray tracing, several GPU and CPU optimizations, and more solid frame rates. Meanwhile, Quality Mode has also made some optimizations that will “help reduce FPS fluctuation and introduce other visual improvements”. On PS5, support for Virtual Refresh Rate (VRR) has also been added.

On the PC side of things, Jedi: Survivor’s newest patch also makes improvements to performance and optimization, while significantly enough, support for Nvidia’s DLSS has also been added. Additional fixes in the bug on all platforms address bugs, crashes, instances of save file corruption, visual glitches, and more. You can check out the full patch notes below.

In our review of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, we awarded it a score of 9/10, saying, “Its performance leaves something to be desired, but Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is still an essential experience for genre fans and Star Wars fanatics.” Read the full review through here.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. In August, it was confirmed that PS4 and Xbox One versions are also in development.

PATCH 7 UPDATE NOTES:

      • A number of GPU and CPU optimizations – along with disabling Ray Tracing – has resulted in a better player experience, including a solid 60 FPS in Performance mode.
