"Everything is either in-game footage, in-engine footage, or in-game footage with some cinematics," says Microsoft's Aaron Greenberg.

With Sony’s PlayStation Showcase out of the way, the onus now falls on Microsoft to deliver with its upcoming Xbox Games Showcase (with the Starfield Direct coming shortly after). Aaron Greenberg, VP of Xbox Games Marketing, revealed on Twitter that none of the first-party titles would have “full CG trailers.”

“Everything is either in-game footage, in-engine footage, or in-game footage with some cinematics. Each of our trailers will be labeled so it is hopefully clear for our fans.” There also won’t be any movie trailers, a dig at Sony for showcasing a trailer for the Gran Turismo movie at its event.

After rumors of the same, Greenberg confirmed that the featured games won’t all release within the next 12 months. It promised this at last year’s showcase, and results have been mixed, as evidenced by the latest delay to Hollow Knight: Silksong. Finally, he said there are no plans “tease, temper, or spoil anything.”

“Love seeing all the wild expectations. My advice is to just come in open-minded and enjoy the ride. Appreciate the years of hard work so many teams have put their heart and soul into this for you all.”

While there are no leaks for the showcase, Forza Motorsport is expected to receive a release date (especially since Career Mode’s gameplay will be showcased on June 13th). There could also be updates on titles like Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 and Avowed. Avalanche Studios’ Contraband is rumored to be delayed internally for a year and may not appear.

Wolfenstein and Indiana Jones developer MachineGames could reveal its next project, which a recent job listing indicates to be a first-person game. Stay tuned on June 11th when the showcase airs at 10 AM PDT.
