What would a new, next generation console be without a new controller? Microsoft has just announced and showcased the Xbox One console, which features a Blu-ray drive and 8 GB of RAM, and is now introducing the new controller for the console.

Microsoft is stating that the new controller has “over 40 design innovations”, with dynamic impulse triggers and a new D-pad. Perhaps the most interesting feature is Kinect instantly recognizing you along with the controller and fetching your latest save file immediately. This allows you to start right from where you left off.

Once again, Kinect is the binding factor between the controller and the Xbox One. It will reportedly track the controller with zero lag, which given the promises made last generation we’ll be a bit more skeptical about.

So far, so good? Or is the show starting to wear on you with the Kinect talk? Let us know below in the comments.
