The ‘Texas Chain Saw Massacre’ video game features two new villains created by Kim Henkel!
Interactive gun The Texas Chainsaw Massacre the video game is heading into next year, and we were promised that the game would introduce some new slasher villains.
It’s a tradition in the franchise for new sequels to introduce new family members and the upcoming video game is no exception, with two such characters premiering this week.
Brought to our attention by GameSpot this afternoon, Gun Interactive today introduced villainous characters Johnny and Sissy, who were newly co-created by the original Chainsaw Massacre co-author Kim Henkel! Johnny and Sissy join Leatherface, the hitchhiker and cook in the list of villains that next year’s game will have us facing.
GameSpot details, “The pair was created by Gun in collaboration with Kim Henkel, the original screenwriter and rights holder of the film. Their inclusion in the game means that each of the two “teams” in any given round will include a full roster of five characters to choose from, with the game ultimately playing out in a 4v3 setup where kills slightly outnumber killers.
Kristina Klebe (Rob Zombie Halloween) provided motion capture and the voice of Sissy, while Damien Maffei (Strangers: prey of the night) provided Johnny’s voice.
Texas Chain Seen Massacre will launch in 2023 on Playstation®4, Playstation®5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store, and will launch in Game Pass on Xbox and PC. Events will take place *before* Tobe Hooper’s original classic.
Kane Hoder plays Leatherface, and Ed Nealwho played the hitchhiker in Tobe Hooper’s original horror classic, will reprise the role in the upcoming game.
